Food Outreaches
Help Feed Our St. Louis Community
Give Back Through Our Community Outreach
Feeding America estimates that approximately 41 million Americans go hungry per year, including 13 million children. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they report that an additional 9 million people may experience food insecurity in 2020, including 4 million children. At Hope Church, we believe that no person should ever go hungry, which is why we’ve created community outreaches, including our food outreaches to help keep the St. Louis community fed. Food Outreaches Available at Hope Church Include:
FREE GROCERY STORE
Hunger is everywhere, but it affects more people right here in our St. Louis community than you might expect — on average about 1 in 6 people. Whether people go completely hungry, or they face something called "food insecurity", making an impact by ensuring our community is happy, healthy, and fed is important to us here at Hope Church. We believe our new Free Grocery Store can restore people's dignity while helping them with the the food they so desperately need. SATELLITE MOBILE MARKETS
With the success of the Mobile Markets, we begin to ask ourselves, “What about the families that can’t drive to our location for food?” The only solution is what we call "Satellite Mobile Markets.” Our Satellite Mobile Markets are teams of people that load their cars and trucks up with food and deliver it to sites all over the area. They go to shelters, trailer parks, assisted living, and low income bringing food, love, and prayer for anyone who needs it. Our Satellite Mobile Markets happen every Friday. SENIOR SHOPPING
Our latest addition to our food outreach programs is the "SENIOR SHOPPING" program. Every Monday morning seniors (age 60+) in the church and community can come to Hope Church entrance one and grocery shop for free. The food can be different each week but will always include fresh produce, meat, paper products, and canned goods. If you are 60+ years old, join us this Monday at 11AM or come earlier for free coffee and make new friends. You will receive a shopping cart and opportunity to shop in our Hope Church free grocery store...and yes, everything is free. To volunteer or give toward this outreach, reach out to us here.
